The Phone
  Latest firmware version: X.1.198.8.2 : 78 - 30.7 MBytes, released 30/06/2005   (check)

Memory Card Slot
  Supported memory cards: MMC & SD (A 1GB SanDisk SD card has been tested OK. RS-MMC / Mini-SD / TransFlash SD cards also work with an adapter)

  To access the memory slot, remove the battery cover and the slot is located just underneath the battery at the bottom of the phone. The phone supports hot swapping of cards, but you must first tell the phone you want to remove the card by going to Extras/Memory/Options/Remove Mem Card - very important you do this FIRST!

  The memory card must be formatted in FAT format. The best way to do this is either in your PC, or with the phone itself - go to Extras/Memory/Options/Format Mem Card. It will take quite a while, but will provide better compatibility if you will be swapping the card between the phone & your PC.

Making Your Own Ringtones
  The Sendo does not support .mp3 format, they must be in the native .wav format. After experimenting with different settings the best settings to use are 44khz, mono, 16 bit. For a roughly 45 seconds sound sample this will be about 1mb. I used Audacity to load the .mp3, convert to mono, highlight the first 45 seconds and then export to a .wav file. Use PC Connect, and upload this to Nokia/Sounds/Digital - this should then appear in the ringtone list when you personalise a profile.

Backing Up The Phone
  The phone supports backup/restore to/from the memory card - it is quicker than using the PC Connect software and handy if your phone screws up when you are out & about. Go to Extras/Memory/Options/Backup Phone Mem. The backup takes about 15 minutes to complete.
